Today I went to my blog to see how it looked, etc. However, as soon as it finished loading (which took about three years since I have an old mac), I was horrified. All the fonts had changed- instead of the simple, clean, easy- to- read writing, I was left staring at dark, gothic, NOT easy- to - read writing. I could only gasp at the page for a few moments- for I knew I had to change it immediately! I rushed to the Design tab to change the appalling print, hoping that no one had looked at my blog yet- a likely thing, since it's relatively new. After another three hours of loading, the mess was managed! I was most definitely overreacting about the whole thing- but I am quite the dramatic type. ;) Other than that fiasco, today was alright- boring, but alright. During the course of the afternoon I was reading some poetry and came across one of my favorite poems- it's by Marianne Moore.
A Jelly Fish
Visible, invisible,
a fluctuating charm
an amber- tinctured amethyst
inhabits it- your arm
Approaches and it opens
and it closes; you had meant
to catch it and it quivers;
you abandon your intent
I don't know why I like it so much. Maybe because I want to be a marine biologist one day? Maybe.
