August 13th
Lame title? Yeah, I know. I guess I couldn't think of anything better! Right now, about 85% of all I think about is school related. Such as backpack buying, school supplies shopping, clothing getting, and most and best of all: Bargain Finding! And it's no wonder: that's all I did this morning. That, and brushing my teeth. Okay, and getting dressed and eating breakfast. I woke up at 9:30 and got out of bed at 10. (it takes me about thirty minutes of prepping before I can actually step out into the world). But today, unlike most saturdays, I was being rushed by mom to get "my lazy behind out of bed" so we can go shopping. Some girls would gladly jump up, put on their latest shade of Maybeline, and hit the mall. Not me. But knowing school was in a week I played the good child and obeyed my mother's commands and obliged to go "shop til' I dropped" (which I actually did. Not lying), with her. First: backpack. DAY- NG! Those things are quite expensive. I mean, $55 for one stinkin' little bag? Yikes. Which is why we headed over to ROSS (love that place) And found a brand spanking new Jansport for $25. Score! We did a lot of other shopping that I'm not going to bore you with, and then went home to rest our weary feet. After they were all good and rested, we went down to the Garland Square where all the blue- grass players were. I brought my violin fiddle, and had a hootin' good hollerin' time with all the guys, double- stoppin' my way through their waltzes, hoedowns, and folk songs. Felt good to play free. Oh, and attention to all you readers of my blog (crickets chirping)....maybe those few of you... one of you.... maybe.....I HAVE been working on my incomplete summer bucket list! So, there is a CHANCE I could finish before summer's over! Yay! Am I the only one applauding? Yeah. Thought so. ;)
