On the Topic of Friends.

My cheeks are sun- burned, I'm really tired, and I have multiple bruises and scratches dotted around my body, of which were bestowed upon me by Chloe and Abby during our wrestling matches. Ha. ;) But all in all today was quite fun. :) Chloe, Abby, their brothers, and I hung out- first at the wave pool, and then at Abby's house. Besides the splashing and swimming, eating, and laughing, there was a time when we, (us girls) had a good talk about friends, and other things. It was then, as we were talking, that I really decided I wanted two friend-ishy related things:
1. To be able to see through flaky people. I guess I'm gullible in the sense that anyone and everyone can be my friend. Most people don't see a problem with that. You're supposed to be entirely open, right? Not always. I'm a semi-friend for a lot of people- I can be friends with someone in chemistry, but after we leave the classroom and they see their other friends, they don't recognize me. Thank goodness I do have some steady friends though, too. Mainly, I want to make sure I'm not just being used as a friend when it's convenient for the other person. That sounds fair, right?
2. GUY FRIENDS. I think it is quite a fabulous idea to have a guy friend. I'm not talking about a boy- friend, I'm talkin' about a boy that is your friend. Some people think that's weird. I don't. Why? Because when you talk to a guy, the conversation isn't always the same. Maybe it's just the tom-boy coming out in me, but you get to talk about cool things like books and how to make explosives out of water bottles. Usually, (and this doesn't apply to all times), if you have a problem and you talk to a girl, a lil' bit of drama is added. With guys, there's less of that. Anyways, I'm in search of a guy- friend. I "joked" about making a sign up list. Or maybe that they should have to audition. But, don't be surprised if that actually happens. So, any takers? ;)
